Conceptual design project based on a fictional metal band I created.
Problem
I designed an album cover, poster, and cassette tape inlay for a fictional metal-punk style band’s debut album, drawing inspiration from the Early American Modernism movement. I carefully selected fonts, a color palette, and character design that aligned with the movement’s aesthetic, ensuring that even the band name reflected its style.
Challenge
One of the most challenging aspects was working with the tagline and text orientation, as expressing them within the movement’s visual language required careful consideration. Additionally, I transformed
an existing image into a vector illustration, refining it to fit the overall aesthetic.
